Where we are ....

Quinta da Horta is situated in a sheltered valley running into the fishing harbor of Ferragudo with its spectacular sandy beaches and cliff walks overlooking the Atlantic ocean with views towards Cape St Vincent, the south west tip of Europe. We are 60 kilometers West of Faro International Airport, around 45 minutes drive using the new motorway, and just under 3 hours drive South of Lisbon and West of Seville.

With an average of over 300 days a year sunshine you will be spoilt for choice with an endless range of outdoor activities. There are many small secluded coves and spectacular long sandy beaches nearby.

The Monchique mountains which shelter us to the north provide hundreds of kilometers of natural reserves with facilities for walkers, horse riding, cyclists and naturalist and just a short drive across the mountains take you to the most beautiful and deserted West Coast beaches ideal for both naturist and surfers.

Ferragudo is a quiet traditional fishing village but a few minutes drive to the other side of the estuary harbor is the modern city of Portimao with its beach resort of Praia da Rocha where the night life continues until the morning.

We can arrange collection by private driver or car hire from Faro airport at favorable rates.
